* d a n c e m a c a b r e è TOTENTANZ, (Danza della Morte). Si tratta di un'allegoria medievale del potere della Morte, spesso rappresentata nei dipinti antichi con un corteo di scheletri che danzano insieme agli esseri umani, prendendosi le loro vite. La più antico opera d'arte che rappresenta la Danza Macabre è un affresco nel cimitero della Chiesa dei Santi Innocenti, a Parigi (del 1424).
* "DANCE MACABRE" è anche un pezzo sinfonico composto da Camille Saint-Saëns (nel 1874). Scaricalo QUI, è un capolavoro.
